Lee Roy Selmon blends the benefits of a football scholarship within his family and volunteering in the community. First of all, he was brought up with Lucious and Jessie Selmon. They lived on the farm close to Eufala located in Oklahoma as the youngest of the nine children they had. Two football. He is among the three brothers that were players for Oklahoma. All three brothers were All-Americans. In 1973, Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy was named the most offensive lineman in the United States by Outland as well as Lombardi Awards. In his time as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and won two national championships. He was awarded a third scholarship in 1975. He was also designated an National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon obtained his diploma in education. Lee Roy's fourth time of service consisted of ten hours a week of volunteer time in the college. Then he settled in Tampa after graduation, and playing for the Buccaneers for nine years and played three times in the all-pro league. The business venture he started began. His first job was as a Account Relations Officer with First Florida Bank, Tampa. He has worked on the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982 The Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized him as one of 10 of America's most outstanding young men. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in the height department and weighed 256 lbs in his college days. He played for the team of 1975. He was promoted to the assistant director of Athletics at the University of South Florida. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame named his as a member in the year 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. In 1989 The Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented their Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Jr. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma presented the award.
