She was a contestant for Miss Columbus 1985 and won the title by winning the crown by kissing it and beating every competitor. In the wake of her win she was eligible to take part at the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Furthermore, on Saturday, June 22, 1985 she was the winner of the competition. In September of 1985, Mohr took part as Georgia in Georgia's participation in Miss America 1986 Pageant held in Atlantic City (New Jersey) following her win. However, she was not, a Top-10 finalist for the national title.
