Lowell began acting when she appeared in Dangerously Close. She then played a small role as Club Paradise's Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross. [4] She went on to play roles, including co-starring as Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well, beginning in 1996 she was the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons in the drama television series Law & Order, a role she reprised in 2005 as a guest star in the spinoff series, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and later on in the original series in 2022 when it returned to a 21st season. Prior to landing this role she was unhappy with her acting career and had applied to study documentary filmmaking at New York University. [4] In the latter half of 2000 the actress had a break from acting. Lowell gave her voice and her likeness to Lowell as she reprised her Licence to Kill character in 007 Legends. Lowell returned to television in 2018, and was on Blue Bloods as a guest. [7][8] Personal life Lowell was married three times. John Stember was her first husband. She was married to him from 1984 to 1988. [9][10] The couple were married from 1989 until 1995 to actor Griffin Dunne and they have a daughter named Hannah. [citation needed] Lowell married Richard Gere in November 2002 11 years after the birth of their son Homer James Jigme Gere. [2] After eleven years of marriage, they divorced in September of 2013. They were in New York Supreme Court divorce proceedings. The case was finally settled in October of 2016. [13]
